BEIRUT, Feb 8 : Lebanese President Michel Aoun said on Thursday that talks were underway 鈥渢o prevent Israeli greed鈥� amid bilateral disputes over a border wall and an offshore energy block in disputed waters.
鈥淐ommunications are ongoing through the United Nations and friendly states to handle this issue... hoping that Israel does not escalate,鈥� Aoun told a cabinet session, according to his office.
鈥淲e will confront any attack鈥� on Lebanon鈥檚 territory or waters, he said.
